FCSC smart library was developed with a  central repository that houses the commission’s documents, including policies, regulations, circulars, guidelines, reports, and other relevant materials related to civil service operations. Libtech deployed an Activeshelf ILS for library automation to manage library activities like staff registration, lending and returning of books, searching and retrieving online resources etc with access to thousands of ebook to aid the research, planning and statistics department in carry out their duties. The solution deployed offers the commission robust search capabilities, allowing users, staff or stakeholders to search for specific documents, keywords, or topics within the repository. Other features include an access control mechanisms to ensure that only authorized individuals can access certain documents, with personalized access to specific resources.
